Dear Terry,

I am sending you this e-mail to thank you for your product.

It has proven itself to me as a phenomenal product — Let me explain. I have a 1999 37 foot class A Tradewinds Motor Home manufactured by National Products out of Perris, California. My wife and I took delivery of this unit December 2, 1998. Not knowing at the time there was anything special about our house batteries, when they were manufactured etc., I kept telling my wife it seemed strange but wonderful that our house batteries had not failed after 8 plus years of hard use. I check the batteries on a regular basis and only had to add a VERY small amount of water at any time. A week ago it seemed I had to add a little more than usual — I now feel it was because of the extra warm weather. However, it got me to thinking how old the batteries are and wondered about replacement, feeling they may fail at any time. I felt due to the age of the batteries and not really knowing anything about Thermoil (which was labeled on the batteries) I should try to contact the company to find out where and how to replace the batteries with like kind since I have been very satisfied. As you can note by the photos, the batteries are clean and I have NEVER had any corrosion on the contacts — UNHEARD OF. After speaking with you I feel very confident with the product and will definitely add your oil to my replacement batteries when the need arises.

Thank you again,

rv-kenDear Thermoil,

I have a 1996 Teton 5th wheel RV, that I took possession on 11/3/1995 from the Teton factory in Casper Wy. I have the original Thermoil Batteries, that check out good. The only thing I have done to these batteries is adding water 2 times in 12.5 years. We have been living in the RV full time since purchasing it new in 1995. I am going to add Thermoil Battery De-mister to the 2 batteries on my Diesel truck, and to the 1 battery on my VW Jetta Diesel car.

I’ve just returned from a Bluegrass Sams chapter weekend meeting with about fifteen rigs attending. Saturday afternoon we were sitting around the campfire and I was recounting my search for a Thermoil battery and my subsequent education about Thermoil and its virtues. As a result I have taken orders for twelve bottles of Thermoil Additive. A question arose that I couldn’t answer. What is the shelf life of these bottles? I was amazed at the response, and I wasn’t even trying to sell the product. By the way, is shipping prepaid an order this large (tongue in cheek)? GET THE WORD OUT!! This product should sell like GANG BUSTERS.

Thanks Terry,

The batteries were installed in the coach in mid 99 and so far there is no sign of acid reflux–ha! I’ll sure get the word out to the camping group.

Thanks again.

Love your product! I am now in the market for a 12V deep cycle battery for a 5th wheel trailer. What battery makes do you recommend?

Thanks

Looking for battery dealer in twin city, MN. Your seven year old deep cycle battery may be done for. But it served me good. I live in Lakeville MN.

Could you please e-mail me the names and addresses of Thermoil dealers in Spokane, Washington. I have had a Thermoil battery in my RV for 10 years and would like to purchase another one.

I have a 97 Gulfstream Tourmaster with the original Thermoil house batteries (4 batteries , 6 volt in series/parallel) They are still going, but starting to show weakness by running down prematurely. Will the additive bring some life back to these batteries for perhaps one more year service. I appreciate your response.

I bought a new motorhome with a Thermoil battery almost six years ago. Sorry to hear they are no longer sold. I would appreciate your opinion as to what the replacement battery choice should be.

Thermoil,

I have two group 24 Thermoil batteries in my Georgie Boy Motor home and I think they are on the way out. They are about 6 years old. What is the life expectancy of these batteries? Where can I get new batteries for my motor home?

Thanks,

Thanks to getting back to me on this. We just reordered @ 09:00 8-17-02. We only want two 12 oz. containers of Thermoil. Please do not send two orders since we went through this twice. By the way I have a Hitchhiker Two and it had 2 Thermoil batteries, they lasted 7 years and would probably lasted longer “”if”” I had properly watered them. (let me hear soon, I want to put this in my boat batteries and go fishing!)

Thanks,

I live in Fort Worth Texas and bought a product in Oct. 1994 that had two Thermoil Batteries in it. It is a 33 ft snowbird. These batteries are still going 7 years later and I think it is time to replace them. I was reading your article on the golf cart batteries. What would you suggest for travel trailers. I am going to order the oil for them because they have been a very good product. Do you think the two six volt batteries is a good choice or just the marine trolling motor batteries.

Thanks,

My Thermoil battery, that came with my Sportsmobile Van, will not hold a charge after more than ten years of use. If there is a dealer near me in San Diego CA please E-mail me his name and address. The local phone book does not list anything for Thermoil.

Thank You. Thank You

Dear Thermoil,

I have a Thermoil Battery that I have had for almost 9 years and need to replace it. Can you please tell where I can purchase a new one. A few years back I was told Cabela’s carried them. Is this still true? I live in Waterloo, IA.

Thanks for any help you can give.

My Thermoil batteries are in my 94 Alfa Gold and are still in use . I would like to know if there is a Dealer in Mesa AZ that sells Thermoil batteries or Thermoil additive ? Just in case my Thermoil battery’s don’t make 10 years . Really convinced they are the best deep cycle batteries.

To Whom it may concern at Thermoil,

My name is Wayne Greer, and I am Production Mgr. in the printing plant for Graham Newspapers, Inc. in Graham, Texas. We have a battery operated fork lift and a battery operated clamp truck in our plant. Both batteries are 48 volt. The battery in the fork weighs approx. 2100 lbs. and the battery in the clamp truck weighs approx. 3200 lbs. I was wondering if you could give me an approximation of how much Thermoil it would take to adequately take care of these batteries. Also do you sell it in larger containers (such as five or ten gallon sizes) and if so the price of the larger size? I also own a 40 foot 5th wheel Nuway Hitch Hiker RV – 1994 model – which came with Thermoil batteries. I am a “”full-timer”” as the RV is my home. So the batteries see a lot of use. The original Thermoil batteries lasted me for several years. But, when the batteries went bad I replaced them about three years ago with deep cycle marine type batteries. And I have had to replace them about once a year since. You made a believer out of me with your batteries. I live on beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake near Graham, and do quite a bit of work as a sideline business on boats etc. I would like to put my customers on to Thermoil. Also I personally own several boats with batteries that I would like to convert. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I have used Thermoil battery since 1994, lasted over 6 years in my RV and am currently on my third year of use on my Grady white boat. I want to purchase new batteries for my RV and would appreciate your recommendations for use with Thermoil liquid.

P.S. Purchased my last two Thermoil Battery from Cabela’s at Sidney Neb store 3 summers past.

HALLELUJAH!!!!! We have been bemoaning the death of our Thermoil batteries since they finally gave up after I forgot how many years of heavy service in our Hitchhiker. Everything we have tried since (even the expensive ones) have been junk and won’t even run the refrigerator ignitor for the two weeks we leave the coach parked in between trips. Most of them haven’t even had enough power to run the front jacks even after being supposedly charged. The original Thermoil batteries were awesome and we’re excited about starting from scratch and having batteries that actually work. I’ll be calling for advice on batteries and chargers.

Dear Thermoil,

I would like to submit a testimonial but before I do I need your help. I have 2 Thermoil batteries in my motorhome. I suspect the batteries might be as much as 10 years old and still working just fine. They both have Thermoil added to the electrolyte. Here is the code on each battery….RV-104920 and the other battery is RV-105218. Can you tell me the actual age of these batteries?

Thanks,

Bill

Terry,Thank you for returning my call so promptly. We purchased our motorhome nearly 10 years ago. IT has two regular 12 volt batteries for the starting engine etc that we had to replace 5 years ago and it has four 6 volt Thermoil batteries for the operation or the coach. We have an inverter, a deep freeze, 2 refrigerators, ice maker, TV satellite, 2 TVs, plus all the other electrical items in our motor home and the original Thermoil batteries are still operating all the above. Thank you for the great service we have gotten from these batteries and thanks for the information you gave me on replacement when the need comes.

How do I obtain a bottle of oil for the four new 6V batteries that I am installing in my RV? I have had the Thermoil batteries for 8 years (bought a National RV Tradewinds in Apr 1998) & they are just now using a large amount of water which would indicate week cells & replacement needed.

Still have the original batteries that came with my 1996 Jayco 5th wheel trailer. Haven’t seen any corrosion and I really don’t remember even having to add water. I am ordering 2 bottle of the oil to be used in my houseboat batteries. What an exceptional product.

I can’t believe I’ve had the batteries almost 11 years and have not checked the web before now.

I have a 1997 Mountain Aire by Newmar that has four of the Thermoil 12 volt batteries for the coach use. This motorhome was purchased 11/01/96 and has never had a problem with the coach batteries. I would like to know if it is possible to purchase the Thermoil batteries from anywhere. I understand a bottle of oil can be added to other batteries but I would still like to order 4 – 12 volt Thermoil Batteries if possible. I can’t believe I’ve had the batteries almost 11 years and have not checked the web before now. I have told hundreds of campers about the batteries and they can’t believe these are the original ones.

Thanks,

Just was reading on your website that you no longer sell batteries. We have a 1997 Telstar with the ORIGINAL ThermOil coach batteries, but have been informed that they are on their last charges. So you can imagine how disappointed I am that you no longer offer these wonderful batteries. However, I did read how ThermOil can be added to any battery, but would like your best recommendation as to which battery we should invest in for the best long-lasting service. Health conditions have changed our lives this year and we will not be using the coach frequently. The past few years, it has made it’s annual pilgrimage to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (leaving again Oct 16)!!

Thank you for the battery information and for your excellent product. Next question, do we order the ThermOil directly from you, or do you have local dealers/distributors? We live in Herscher, IL (near Kankakee) and our service representative is in Gilman, IL. Would appreciate a prompt reply as we are getting ready to leave in ten days.

Thank you very much,

This is unbelievable for a battery to last this long in an RV!

I have had one of your batteries in my fifth-wheel trailer for 10 years!!! I was hoping to find a dealer here in Kentucky to purchase another one before this one goes bad. Over that time period I have added water only twice! There is not even any corrosion. This is unbelievable for a battery to last this long in an RV.

Thank you.
